If you’re wondering whether Colorado Springs is getting too crowded—or if there’s a quieter, more affordable alternative nearby—this video is for you. We’re breaking down the pros and cons of living in Peyton, Colorado, a growing area just outside of Colorado Springs, to help you decide if it might be the right fit for your lifestyle.

In this video, you’ll discover:

✅ Proximity to Colorado Springs: Enjoy a peaceful, rural lifestyle with convenient access to the jobs, shopping, and attractions of Colorado Springs. But is the daily drive worth it?

✅ Affordable Housing Options: Get more square footage, bigger yards, and often lower price points compared to homes in the Colorado Springs housing market.

✅ Privacy and Space: Want more room between you and your neighbors? Peyton delivers the kind of space that’s hard to find in newer developments within the city.

✅ Tight-Knit Community Feel: From local events to friendly neighbors, Peyton gives off that true small-town Colorado vibe.

✅ A Slower Pace of Life: Leave behind the hustle and bustle of city traffic while still being close enough to enjoy Colorado Springs amenities.

⚠️ But… Is Peyton the Right Fit for You? Consider These Challenges:

🚧 Limited Local Amenities: Most shopping, dining, and entertainment options require a drive into Colorado Springs.

🛣️ More Construction & Commuting: As Peyton grows, traffic and roadwork are becoming more common. Daily commuting can add up.

🏥 Fewer Public Services: Local healthcare, public transport, and emergency services are still catching up to the area’s growth.

💼 Fewer Local Job Options: Unless you work remotely, most residents commute to Colorado Springs or beyond for employment.

⏳ Distance Can Be a Double-Edged Sword: While Peyton offers distance and privacy, it also means more time on the road for everyday errands or appointments in the Springs.

Considering a move to Colorado Springs or looking for a peaceful alternative like Peyton? We break it all down so you can make an informed decision.

  1. Hi👋, first video I have seen of yours! Love, your vibes! I have wanted to live in Colorado for a long time. I am from Tx. Don’t want to sell my home here but am thinking about trying to find something possibly in Colorado. I have never lived in the snow. It’s just me and my daughter. How is the school district? She will be going to the 10th grade. I don’t do stairs so would need a smaller home with just one story. Our there teens that live in that area? What about the school district? My daughter currently goes to private school but would love to send her to public school, and spend money on the home. I would keep my home here in Tex, probably lease it!
    Just thinking about it.
Love, your vibe and honesty. Very interested.
Can, you give more info about the schools and maybe community colleges? Just thinking.
Don’t, need a big home or lots of restaurants. But looking for my daughter to have a community.
    Very interested.

    Thanks, for all the info!
Will, you elaborate on the sizes of the homes? Weather, and driving conditions as far as snow and bad weather? I have been to Colorado Springs years ago. My fav is Estes park, Westminster, and Grand Tetons. So, would definitely be closer to my favorite places! Very interested. Schools, are the important for me. I don’t currently work.
Love, all the info you touched on! Great job!!!!
Maybe, could work from home in the future, or in 2027 when my child graduates high school. Part time anyway, definitely in the medical field. Just very curious.
Also curious about the weather there. Tornadoes? Possibility for being snowed in? Sports for my daughter or kids her age, in that community?

Thank you, and hope you had a blessed Mother’s Day! 😊

  2. Thank you for the very informative video on Peyton. My husband and I are moving in August and already have bought a home there. I will continue to watch your videos since you give such useful information all the time. Thanks again!!

  3. If it is I sure don’t know why. Might as well go to Wyoming traffic ALL the time dogs bark ALL the time no mountains closed roads in winter they plow the neighborhoods so your stuck in your driveway and don’t even think of parking in the street in the winter no grass no trees dust dirt no natural trails but you can walk along HWY 24in and breathe all the exhaust you want on a concrete trail they call a drainage ditch a creek there’s no view. It’s depressing out here. There are so many other places to live that offer so much more and to say it’s cheaper out here in bfe but it’s not. The payoff is not worth it. Folks bought houses out there when they were cheap cause no one wanted to live here and I would have done that but I would rent that out all day and live in real Colorado cause this place does no justice to our beautiful state. And who the hell wants to be a slave to a huge house and a huge yard that is just dirt when you go to the mountains go skiing go see what this great state has the offer. I don’t get what the attraction is at all. Dumb. And yes I’m just here for a min gave it a chance but it’s awful. Oh and the dog park is a joke ugh I could go on and on on the cons and Walmart here is lil more than in Springs I’ve heard nothing here that is valid unless you farm and buy land ,allot of land, plains flat no trees if you what these people have I guess. just not for me at all.

  4. We moved here 2 years ago from so cal because our daughter moved here due to the high cost of home in California, so we made the move. Our eldest son has been in the Denver area for about 10 years We purchased a 4200 sq ft home in Meridian Ranch for under $550k this home would be worth over 1m in California. Our old home was only 1200sq ft and sold for 890k! I love it here great area to live.
