  1. On a trip in the early 2000s, was traveling west on I-70 heading toward Albuquerque, NM, from Ohio. My GPS had me exit the Interstate at Limon, going southwest on US-24. I thought it was a mistake, but because I didn’t know the area, I went ahead and followed the directions. I remember driving past a sign that said Peyton, which made me think of the Peyton Place TV show back in the 60s. I went past Peyton so quickly I don’t even remember what was there. Probably nothing! I remember Falcon, better, because the speed limit dropped to 55 and there were some buildings there, including a Walmart. I continued going east, turning south on Powers Blvd, following the signs for US-24, turned due east on another street, which took me to I-25. I don’t know why I remember that path so well, considering how long ago it was, but I remember my impression of Peyton as being an empty place. Nothing like what you showed me in this video! That was only about 15 years ago, but what a difference!

  2. Nice to see more focus on the growth out east. There is allot brewing off 94 and Drennan road areas also. Falcon is now considered civilization for those east and north.

  3. I lived in Calhan from 2001 to 2010. When I first saw Falcon, there was only the high school, Falcon Volunteer Fire dept, a Diamond Shamrock gas station, and the Safeway shopping center. Oh, and Farmer’s State Bank… Needless to say, Falcon sure has come a LONG way from those humble roots.
